FDK Plans for École Sage Creek School
École Sage Creek School is preparing to implement significant changes for the 2024-2025 academic year, as it announces the introduction of Full-Day Kindergarten (FDK) to two English program classes and two French Immersion program classes.
This decision reflects a strategic initiative aimed at addressing the evolving educational needs of the community. With an enrolment cap of 24 students per class, the school aims to provide a conducive learning environment that fosters individual growth and development. Notably, once the enrolment cap of 48 students for both English and French Immersion programs is reached, new registrations will be redirected to other schools within the division.
Currently, École Sage Creek School has received 43 registrations for each program, leaving only a limited number of spaces available. With only five spaces remaining in each program, interested families are encouraged to act swiftly to secure their child's spot.
This is only a temporary solution until the opening of a new French Immersion elementary school in Fall 2025. The current building will transition to accommodate Kindergarten to Grade 8 English program students. Both schools will continue to offer FDK, ensuring continuity and consistency in educational offerings across the division.
