Most post-secondary programs require specific grade 12 courses. Required courses are listed in college and university calendar books. Students are responsible for ensuring that they take the necessary prerequisite high school courses to enter the program of their choice after they graduate. Information regarding entrance requirements for specific universities/schools and their faculties and college program prerequisites are available in the Student Services office.

Important Note: It is the responsibility of each student to know that they have the sufficient number of credits and the appropriate prerequisites for entrance into their desired post-secondary institutions.  Remember that high school graduation requirements are not the same as post-secondary entrance requirements and are not the same as scholarship requirements.

Graduating from high school does not automatically qualify students to attend university and/or college. Each Post-Secondary Institution has its own set of entrance requirements and criteria. Visit the websites for the most up to date information on program entrance requirements. If you are unsure, about your course selection, make an appointment with a member of the WPC Student Services Staff to go over your choices.
